An Ode to Sleep Deprived Parents

In a recent contest held by the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs facebook page, fans were challenged to rewrite the opening chorus of  Carmina Burana. This musical selection written in latin has become a famous classical piece and the opening and closing movement "La Fortuna" have been included in many movies. Most recently used in a beer commercial for Carlton's Big Beer Ad, the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs decided to see what other creative things their fans could match up with this famous piece of music.

The winner, Matthew Hodge, was a clear front runner from the start, with his made up lyrics including hilarious comments like "where are your pants" and "why won't you just stop moving". They knew it would be a winner with an opening line like "O you terror" and ending with "I hope when you have some kids too, they drive you crazy!" Its so funny to see the choir members try to hide their smiles as they make an effort to remain serious while stating these lines every parent thinks.

Although not technically a voiceover, we thought this was pretty funny and sort of has the same effect as a funny voice over. We do specialise in voice overs and audio productions, and have created many web videos and tv commercials that utilise voice over techniques. Check out some examples of our tv commercials, and the work we have done for video post sync.
